Who We Are

Meaningful Hosting & Designs is a small website design company located in Punta Gorda, Florida. We at Meaningful Hosting & Designs recognize that you have a wide selection of providers in the area from which to select. We also recognize that not everyone agrees on how and why a website should be designed.

Why Do You Want or Need a Website?

We believe that the primary reason to have a website, particularly in these tough economic times, is to attract more customers. The increase should not be only from the local area, but should be designed in such a way as to increase exposure, thus customers, from an ever expanding area.

We believe that websites should be designed using a proven platform that lends itself to easy updates by the website owner.  The platform should have a proven record of SEO excellence.  Only rarely will a custom designed using Dreamweaver or other authoring tool be as easy to use or as SEO friendly as a website created with WordPress and Semiologic.

For this reason, we at Meaningful Designs don’t subscribe to the practice often used by other designers who price their services by the page.  You may have seen designers who provide a single page site for x dollars and then offer three pages for an additional charge and maybe 5 or 7 pages for yet more money.  They might then offer additional pages at 20 dollars or so.

To us, a single page site serves only to tell your customers that “yes, we have a website”.  The problem with that is, quite obviously, only your existing customers see your website.  That as they say, is like “preaching to the choir”, and is not an effective way to promote your business.

With the increasing use of Iphones, Ipads, Blackberrys and other mobile devices, it is becoming increasingly important to provide a website that accommodates these smaller screens, and in a way that maximizes the features of each such device.
